On 15 July 2026 AusPIPS hosted our latest webinar on antibiotics and primary immunodeficiency (PID).
Our guest speaker, Dr Sam Thorburn, is a specialist infectious diseases physician who is currently completing further speciality training in Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Sam is currently at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Sam's clinical and research interests centre around the intersection of these 2 specialty areas and are focused on infectious disease in primary immunodeficiencies, due to the high burden of infections in people living with PID. Sam aims to further define risk management strategies for infections in this population.
