To mark World Primary Immunodeficiency Week, on 29 April 2026 AusPIPS Vice President and member of the JMF Centre Executive Emily Edwards chaired an important webinar discussing the genetics of Primary Immunodeficiency.
Dr Daman Langguth and Genetic Counsellor Tatiane Yanes shared how the genes in your DNA cause primary immunodeficiency, how we can find out what the genetic causes of disease are, what the results of genetic testing mean including how they can change treatment choices, and why having a genetic counsellor engaged in the process is crucial.
